Flor Is In?

According to the breaking news ticker on the Free Press website, Flor Marcelino is the new culture, heritage and tourism minister, and she accidentally jumped the gun by sharing the news with some of her constituents.

Amazing - she's not even a rookie yet (at least not for a few minutes, anyway), and already she made a rookie mistake. Oops.

If this is true, I hope the Selinger brain trust doesn't hold the guy who counseled them to make that specific call accountable for Marcelino's unfortunate breach of tradition and protocol, and promptly decide in the next five minutes to rescind all of their cabinet picks.

First in an expected long line!

I wonder if Anon #1 is a certain NDP MLA who once again missed the cut and is a bit jealous of Ms. Flo.

Cough. Cough, wheez. Broadly speaking.

Nope, just another anony leaving some droppings.

What I've always liked about Flor is her high minded sense of principle and her selflessness.

If her idealism and desire to share a special moment with her friends momentarily outran the shop worn sagacity of political convention, she can and should be forgiven that.

That alone is a breath of fresh air in a process that has assumed the trappings of a masonic ritual - admission to the inner temple.

Yes, I have to agree with Uncle Joe, this breath of fresh air with a faint wisp of Cheez Whiz in her tail winds will follow in the esteemed footsteps of her predecessor.
